Why We Picked SRC for a Showcase
We read a lot of contractor websites. Plenty of them are full of stock kitchens nobody on the crew has ever stood in. The first thing we want to see is the crew's own work, and SRC sent us its own job photos.
So we're showing them. A showcase is a feature, not a grade or an award. We wrote it from SRC's website, its Google profile and those photos.
What the Crew Builds
Kitchens, bathrooms and basements are the main work. SRC also takes on whole home renovations, flooring, painting, drywall, tile, paver walkways and steps, patios and commercial renovations.
Bathrooms run from a tub to shower conversion up to a gut job down to the studs. Basements cover family rooms, offices, guest suites, bathrooms and bars. One team handles the demolition, the build, the finishes and the cleanup, so you aren't chasing four companies for one room.

The Work You Don't See Is the Work That Counts
A shower can look perfect for a year and still be leaking into the wall. That's why the order matters. SRC says it waterproofs and flood tests its showers before tile goes on. A flood test fills the shower pan with water and leaves it there, so a leak shows up while it's still cheap to fix.
Basements work the same way. SRC handles moisture before the drywall goes up. We wrote a whole basement finishing guide on why that comes first, and it uses SRC's jobs as the example.

How a Job Starts
You call, text or fill out the form on the site. SRC says it answers any time of day. Then someone walks your space, measures and talks through your ideas and your budget range.
You get a written proposal with the scope, materials and schedule, and you owe nothing until you approve it. The same crew stays from the start to the final walk through. SRC pulls the permits a job needs and schedules the inspections with your city or village.
What Customers Wrote on Google
As of November 5, 2026, SRC's Google profile shows 5.0 stars from 5 reviews. That's a small count, so read them yourself. They're specific, and that's what we look for.
Tom Kleve wrote about two siding jobs, saying they "left the site clean and they were reasonably priced." Allison Gomolinski wrote about a basement and praised the "exceptional attention to detail." A reviewer named Ale wrote that new floors and dark blue walls "completely changed the look of the space" in a living room.

Where SRC Works
SRC is based at 8413 River Grove Ave in River Grove, IL 60171. Its Google profile names Chicago, River Grove, Cicero, Elmhurst, Melrose Park, Franklin Park, Schiller Park, Addison, Itasca, Glenview, Northlake, Broadview and Westchester. If your town sits near those, just ask.
Ask These Before You Hire Any Remodeler
These work on SRC and on everybody else. Don't skip them because you like the photos.
- Can I see photos of your own jobs, and who did the work?
- Who pulls the permit, and whose name goes on it?
- Who's on site each day, and does the crew change partway through?
- When does the waterproofing or moisture work happen, and can I see it before it's covered?
- Will I get the full price and scope in writing before you start?
That last one is the law on bigger jobs. The Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act says a remodeler must hand you a written contract with the total cost before starting any job over 1,000 dollars.
